A Little About Ms. Schell

Bridget is a dedicated legal professional with deep roots in Kansas City, where she was born and raised. She attended local Catholic schools—St. Agnes, Queen of the Holy Rosary, and Bishop Miege—where she developed a strong foundation of values that continue to guide her practice today.
She began her college journey at Benedictine University before transferring to Pittsburg State University, and later earned her Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law.
Bridget’s legal career began in public service as an Assistant District Attorney, where she prosecuted felony domestic violence cases. Her early work solidified her passion for advocating for families and giving a voice to those in difficult circumstances. She went on to establish her own private family law practice, providing compassionate and skilled representation, before bringing her expertise to Barnds Law.
Outside of the courtroom, Bridget is a devoted mother to her 12-year-old son. She serves as an assistant troop leader in Boy Scouts and treasures time spent camping with her family. A lifelong Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan, she also enjoys cheering on her hometown teams whenever she can.
