Christopher Thompson
A Little About Mr. Thompson:
Chris Thompson was born and raised in Kansas City- many years of catholic school including Christ the King grade school, Rockhurst High School and Avila University. Chris spent 12 years away serving as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force, Chris returned home with extensive legal and military experience. During his time in the Air Force, Chris deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, where he played a critical role in establishing the Rule of Law in a volatile Red Zone, prosecuting Iraqi terrorists in Iraqi courts alongside local Iraqi judges with the assistance of an interpreter. He also deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where he contributed significantly to the prosecution of the 9/11 terrorists- which is still ongoing.
In addition to his military service, Chris has over 15 years of experience as a Johnson County Deputy Sheriff, Johnson County District Attorney, and Federal Prosecutor.
His career has taken him around the world, with some of his favorite places including Ramstein, Germany; Charleston, SC; and Boston, MA. A passionate foodie, Chris enjoys exploring new cuisines, and he’s a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawks. When he’s not talking about food, travel, or sports, Chris is focused on spending time with his two daughters.
