After hiring a divorce attorney and having him show up to the first hearing and not remembering my name, I decided I should explore other options. After calling around to a few other attorneys I just got the sense that I was going to have the same feeling no matter who it was. That feeling changed when I called Mr. Barnds. Right off the bat I could tell by his charisma and energy that this wasn’t the same kind of person I had talked to on all the previous calls. I scheduled a consultation with Mr. Barnds and within a minute of meeting him knew that I had found the right attorney. Mr. Barnds has never left me feeling like I was just another source of income. He is helpful, personable and caring which was exactly what I needed in such a rough time in my life.

I could go on and on explaining examples of how Mr. Barnds was and is the right choice for me but I will save you some time. Chris has been great through difficult times. He takes phone calls and answers texts after business hours and on weekends when things come up. He is honest and looks out for his client. Chris is a great value compared to the large corporate attorneys in town and much more knowledgeable.

Best lawyer in Johnson County! Chris did more for my high conflict case in one 30min court hearing, then ANY lawyer has been able to do in 2 years on my same case! He works with you on a budget. Seriously being a single mom & dealing with the court system has been so hard! Glad to finally start to have some relief. I can't believe the miracle he just worked! My kids & I are so happy! Plus he listens, returns calls & updates you. He really cares & knows the law. He never backed down in the courtroom. Moved mountains, & is still continuing to already prepare for my next hearing. I dealt a lot with senior paralegal Pier, and she made me aware of the process by explaining everything in detail. If you’re completely overwhelmed and lost as I was, Barnds law firm will help you find your way. I called a frantic mess! I spoke with Sean and was in desperate need to speak to an attorney. He went above and beyond to help me the best we could, and squeezing me in with an attorney to speak with to get some general guidance. Mr.Barnds himself, called me and did an over the phone meeting with me at my request. All I can say is most attorneys I have dealt with either will not let you get a word in edgewise, talk over your head, or talk down to you. I experienced none of these with Barnds law firm. Mr Barnds was extremely helpful. He listened to what I had to say, and then responded to me in a way I could understand he gave me the best advice he could with the limited information I was able to give him. He then gave me multiple options of how I could proceed forward. The most important part is though he listened. He was kind, and he was easy to talk to. I can guarantee if I have to move forward I will be retaining him as my attorney.
Making the phone call to their firm was the best thing I ever did. Every person I talked to went above and beyond to help me.
